A wee gift for you ...

... to de-stress in the run-up to the Christmas, Hanukkah, Yule, Kwanzaa, Holiday season …

If you are celebrating with all bells and whistles, you might want some stress-relief.

While TRE can certainly help you to have these 'post spa treatment' feelings full of deep relaxation and calm, just moments after a few minutes on the mat, you might be too busy and things might be too hectic for you to take a few hours to learn TRE with me right now.

And that I totally understand.

So I've got another suggestion for you – it's 'only' second best (in comparison to TRE), but hey-ho ...

Anyway, as you might remember, I also offer Silent Counselling – an energy modality – and I love the collarbone breathing technique.

This technique is often used in energy work and also in stress management exercises.

It involves controlled, rhythmic breathing while gently stimulating the area around the collarbones.

In TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) this point refers to the energy of the kidneys, which are primarily associated with the emotion of fear.

Imbalances or deficiencies in kidney energy can lead to fear or anxiety, activating the fight or flight response, lack of willpower, feeling lost or insecure, lack of comfort and low self-esteem.

There are quite a few benefits of collarbone breathing as it can:

  • Improve the lung capacity

  • Reduce muscle tension, particularly in chest, shoulders and neck

  • Enhance lymphatic circulation

  • Calm the nervous system

  • Increase focus and clarity

  • Balance energy (chi) flow

Here's my wee gift for you.

I've recorded the procedure and you can learn it by watching it here:

You are welcome.

Let me know how you get on and what difference it makes to your stress levels.

I'd recommend doing this routine three times a day, first when you wake-up (you can still lie in bed), then during the day when you need some time out, and last thing at night.

If you'd like to learn more about Silent Counselling, check out my website.

As I always say, TRE is great as it's empowering, i.e. once learned, it's a tool for life.

If you'd like to be treated, rather than treating yourself, consider giving Silent Counselling a go.

And as always, I'm here if you have any questions.
