Are you sitting down to review the outgoing year? I generally do and here's the review of my professional year.
Firstly, I'm super grateful to have a job I love and where I can make a difference – although, I think that empowering my clients to heal and help themselves is much more than simply a 'job'.
I so appreciate my TREmendous newsletter community and all the readers of my blog posts – that shows me that there's an interest in TRE and in somatic healing, health and - most importantly - taking health and well-being into your own hands.
I am grateful for my clients and their openness to explore TRE and their bodies – each of them would be a highlight of the year in itself.
Recently I taught TRE to a psychologist, who obviously knows only too well how the mind works and appreciated learning TRE to help her through challenging times. I'll never forget how impressed she was with her body's reaction and the quality of deep relaxation she experienced after the session - something totally new to her.
It was the year where a few of my very first TRE clients re-discovered TRE and went back to regular practice, joining my group shakes. You might remember that I also re-discovered TRE after far too many years.
I've already had a fair amount of press coverage, but I can now add The Guardian to the list – strictly speaking not fully accurate as we don't "release tension by stretching", but nevertheless, I'm in the Guardian.
Two of my clients went on to train as TRE Providers themselves - fabulous!
And I was mentoring a TRE Provider in training who certified in early November. She's based in Belgium, so if you are looking for a Dutch speaking TRE Provider, I can put you in touch. We don't have to seem many Dutch or French speaking colleagues and although I'm learning French, my command of the language isn't good enough for teaching TRE - yet. But I can teach in German, though!
There's so much going on in the TRE community: sharing, learning, CPD … I'm grateful for being part of such a supportive professional network.
While I love teaching and therefore empowering my clients, I also love educating an audience about TRE and the power of our bodies – and I've spoken at some events and simply love the fact that I can put people's minds at rest when I explain that shaking is the body helping and supporting us. Trembling is nothing negative, it doesn't necessarily mean illness and I notice all the time the relief people experience when learning this.
I said, I'd stop at 10, so that's it.
Here's to a TREmendously amazing 2025!
I'm here for you, simply get in touch.
Natural. Innate. TREmendous.
